Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute offers several specialist programming opportunities to provide students 21st Century competencies to model changes in the workforce from an industrial model of production to a “rapidly transforming, technology-driven, and interconnected globalized knowledge economy. “  When your child enrolls at SFDCI there are several specialized programs they can take including:

  • Four Specialist High Skills Majors (Arts, Hospitality, Sports, Agriculture);

  • State-of-the-art Award winning Computer Science, Computer Programming courses including App development and database creation;

  • Full Music programming including instrumental and vocal classes;

  • Sports programming that offers student a variety of sports teams that regularly compete at the provincial and national level;

  • State-of-the-art Hospitality program with a certified chef including community catering opportunities;

  • Progressive mathematics and science programs to ensure students are prepared for 21st Century competencies;

  • Community-based programming integrating student activities and the community at-large;

  • Multi international and national award winning Canada and World Studies Department offering annual opportunities to take senior secondary level summer courses in France, Belgium, Netherlands and an undergraduate reach-ahead course through a partnership with the University of New Brunswick.
